Bosque_del_Apache

The Bosque del Apache Wildlife Section was compiled from over 10,000 images.
It is a comprehensive section with over 300 images and Composites, including a large
number of images which have not been posted elsewhere (and a number of favorite veterans). The
Bosque section has been split into five pages: Sandhill Cranes; Snow Geese; Raptors; Other Birds
(and Everything Else), and a page of  Scenics. There are a number of the sunrises and sunsets that
New Mexico is famous for, and enough wildlife to keep you busy and interested for quite a while.

Since there is an extensive display of Sandhill Cranes and Raptors in the Wildlife Studies Section,
there were a number of truly spectacular images that I bypassed since they are on those pages,
but there are also quite a few from those pages that I elected to reprocess for inclusion here.

I have also placed several large signed images and composites of
Sandhill Cranes below the display composites for the section pages.

SandhillCranes

A detailed study of the Sandhill Crane, many of which winter at Bosque every year
on their way to the Platte River rendevous and their mating grounds in the far north.

SnowGeese

Tens of thousands of Snow Geese winter in Bosque every year on their way to
their arctic mating grounds. Their mass flyouts in the morning are spectacular, and
are among scenes shown in this page, which contains a detailed study of Snow Geese.

Raptors

Bald Eagles, Harriers, the exotic Light Morph Ferruginous Hawks, Red Tailed Hawks,
Kestrels and Merlins are shown on this page detailing some of the Raptors of Bosque.

EverythingElse

Some of the other birds and animals that can be seen at the Bosque.

BosqueScenics

Some spectacular Sunrise and Sunset scenics are salted through this section.
I’ve collected all of those images (and a few not seen elsewhere) on this page.
