Hua Mei Panda 5953

As long as we’re looking at zoo animals, how about a large image of the famous Hua Mei.
Hua Mei is a Giant Panda, born at the San Diego Zoo in 1999, who was the first Giant Panda
cub to survive to adulthood in the US. She went to China after reaching adulthood (2004) to live
 at the Woolong Reserve in Sichuan Province, where she has given birth to three sets of twins.

Bentonite clay near the Visitor’s Center
(Hwy 12 on the way to Bryce Canyon).

This Golden Mantle Squirrel
lives up at Taft Point (7500 feet),
about 3300 feet above Yosemite Valley.

There is another one below the Marmot
that you may find rather amusing. He
gave me a really good laugh.

I met up with this fellow at about 9000 feet at the top of Tenaya Canyon in the Tioga Pass.

This Taft Point Trail Golden Mantle Squirrel provided me with the most unusual
and absolutely hilarious foraging sequence I have ever seen (or shot photos of).

I have to say that these shots were more
 than usually difficult due to low light and a very
fast-moving rodent. This was such a funny scene
that I had to try shooting the action while forcing
myself to hold my laughter, as the shaking it
would have caused would have ruined
the shots, and neither you nor I
would have these hilarious
images to laugh at.
