I have conducted numerous training sessions in Yosemite NP over the years, and have several thousand images taken during these sessions and other visits. I have selected an extensive
group of large, portfolio-grade scenic, wildlife and plant life images for this newly compiled Portfolio. Some of these images were in the 2008 Yosemite Valley section, and were carried over after being reprocessed.
Other images are entirely new for this comprehensive rebuild. I have included a separate page with images from Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, and Mariposa (Mono Lake and Bodie are on the other side of Tioga Pass, off
Hwy 395, and Mariposa is the county seat, southwest of Yosemite). These shots are also compiled from several visits.
The earlier Yosemite section was essentially an extended set of Galleries. To bring this section more in line with what I have done in many of the other sections within the Scenic
Gallery, I selected and reprocessed nearly 600 images from several thousand taken during training sessions and individual visits to the Park using recently developed techniques, then selected over 370 images from
the new group to place in this Portfolio. As half were Scenic images, I have split the Scenic section into two pages. I carried a few 2008 composites directly over to this Portfolio, but otherwise reworked every
image and wrote new material to support the images. Overall this was an exhaustive but satisfying project that took several hundred hours.
I think you’ll find the new Yosemite Portfolio both interesting and worth your time.
