A Large signed image of Michelangelo’s Pieta in St. Peter’s Basilica.
The first of a number of sculptures on this theme by Michelangelo, the Pieta was completed in 1499 when he was 24 years old. It is one of the
most highly finished of his artworks (and the only one which was signed by the artist).
