Mammoth Hot Springs is a geothermal feature (and a ranger station and small settlement) at the North end of Yellowstone National Park. It is at the junction of the road traversing the
park from North to South and the road leading to Tower Junction and the Lamar Valley.
The geothermal features are spectacular, but highly reflective. They are very difficult to shoot on any day, but the most successful results occur on overcast days, as this one was.
